2023 Marks Twelve Years of Contributions to Breast Cancer Research through the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research
NELSONVILLE, OHIO (February 4, 2024) - Durango® Boots, a division of Rocky Brands™, Inc. and leading Western boot brand, presented a 2023 donation of $2,604.00 to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). The contribution continues Durango®’s commitment to breast cancer research, bringing the brand’s lifetime donation to cancer research to $275,788, with over $90,000 of those donations benefiting the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. About the Stefanie Spielman Fund
In 1998, Stefanie Spielman was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30 and lost her battle with the disease in 2009. Stefanie and her husband Chris Spielman, an All-Star linebacker from Massillon, Ohio and 11-year NFL player, became advocates for the fight against breast cancer, founding the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research in 1998.
