HUNTER KOCH
PROFESSIONAL TEAM ROPER
PRODUCT TESTIMONY
"I love the comfort my Durango®’s give me throughout the long hard days of being a professional team roper."
ABOUT HUNTER
The first in his family to rope, Hunter Koch was, at first, self-taught in an arena that his father, a rancher, and mother, a teacher, built at the house for he and his brother. He became enthralled by the sport and serious about competition when a friend and neighbor, Gary Jacobs, began to teach him how to rope, and also had Koch help with galloping his racehorses. Koch attended Vernon Junior College on a scholarship where he was a member of their rodeo team and earned his way to the Collegiate National Finals. Koch has been professionally roping since 2019. Koch is a two-time National Finals Rodeo Team Roping qualifier, 2019 Canadian Finals Rodeo Champion Heeler and the 2022 American Rope Horse Futurity 1st Go Round Winner Champion 4-year-old and 3rd overall. While not in the arena, Koch is training horses and enjoying his personal journey with his wife McKenna.
